About the production
Five decades.
One legendary leading lady.
Geraldine Turner is a true icon of Australian show business. Across five decades, her roles in Anything Goes, Chicago, Oliver!, Into the Woods, Company, Cabaret, A Little Night Music, Call Me Madam and Sweeney Todd established her as an award-winning musical theatre star. She also won acclaim in Steel Magnolias, Summer of the Seventeenth Doll and Don’s Party, and appeared extensively on television and film. Her recording output includes the first solo Sondheim album.
Turner’s Turn marked Geraldine’s first cabaret appearance in over ten years: an evening of songs from her celebrated career, peppered with show-business anecdotes and stories. It played successful seasons in Sydney, Canberra, Brisbane, Perth and Melbourne, and toured seventeen regional venues from Kalgoorlie to Logan.
